I love my toys!

I know these pics are a bit blurry but he was jumping so it was hard to get a good shot!

Getting ready to eat the toy.....

Well, things are going great at the Williamson household. Payton is growing way too fast! He is 4.5 months old now and he weighs 14 lbs. 4 oz. I just took him to the doc today due to constant messy diapers that had me a bit worried. Doc says she thinks he has a 10-day stomach bug that is going around but is appears to be on the tail end of it so hoping that each day gets better. He's not that fussy though so I think we're in the clear.

P is still sleeping on average 11-12 hours a night. I had to wake him up today at 11 am and he went to bed at 10. Yes, that's 13 hours of sleep. Doc says it's normal though so I'm just happy he's a sleeper. Hmmm...wonder where he gets that from??

Currently Payton wants to eat everything in sight and drools like crazy. He wears bibs during the day and I'm just waiting for a little tooth to poke out. He LOVES his jumparoo, which I've posted a pic of here. It's really hard to take pics of him in it though because he moves so much. So his favorite things to do are to bounce in the jumparoo, pet Winston (try to eat winston's ears too), play with the toys in his vibrating chair, swing in his swing, talk to the mobile above his crib, and sit outside and listen to the birds when the weather cooperates. I believe he is going to be a soccer player or a great dancer because he moves his legs so much (Ryan would prefer the soccer, ha ha).

Doc says I can start giving P solid food so I'm going to wait until we get our camcorder back from repair and then film it. I'll take pics too which I of course will post here.
cheers!

The Stats!

Winston at the River
Payton was entranced by himself on TV:

Payton's Great Uncle made him a BEAUTIFUL wheelbarrow. Ryan is ready to put him to work in the garden (it needs it!) He looks like a little man already! Stop growing so fast Payton!! :)

Payton's famous face. We took him to the Dungeness River near our house and he loved being outside and listening to the water. Winston loved it too!

Payton had his 4 month checkup yesterday and here are the stats:

13 lbs. 13 oz (25th percentile)
25 inches long (55th percentile)
Hernia....GONE! (praise God!)
First round of immunizations (so far so good)
So there you go. P was such a trooper when he got his shots. Cried for two seconds and then looked at me and smiled. He got his first bandaids :)

Everything is going great and we are looking forward to spending the weekend with his Aunts, Great Aunts, and Gramma out on the Hood Canal :)

New Toys!

Payton is 17.5 weeks now. I cannot believe how fast it's going. Every day he does something different that makes me laugh and he looks like a little man more and more. Everyone says how much he looks like his Dad which is fine with me because I think they're both cute!

I had to post some pics that represent Paytons' latest developments. He absolutely loves to stand, even though he wobbles like crazy. I put together his bouncy seat and, while he is pretty far from the ground, we put pillows underneath so he can bounce and stand. He is starting to learn cause and effect because the bouncy thing plays music the more he bounces.

Payton is also attempting to eat everything in sight. He looks at Winston with his mouth open and is dying to eat his ears. It's pretty funny. Winston responds by trying to lick his entire face. They are going to be best buddies when Payton starts walking. We just have to keep Winnie from shaking his toys near Payton....that's some dangerous stuff!

We have a doctor's appt. today where he will get weighed, measured, and get a few immunizations. I am praying that he will sail through with no complications. Will post his stats when we return.

16 weeks old!

I can't believe it's been 16 weeks since Payton was born. It's been such a great adventure and I look at him and can hardly remember what life was like before him (what did I do with my free time???). He is growing like a weed (he seems to grow out of his sleepers weekly now!), almost graduated to size 2 diapers, and super chatty. His absolute favorite thing to do is stand (with support of course) and flirt (while standing!). I have discovered that he loves to watch the sights and sounds of the TV so will have to get some good videos for him. And don't worry, I'd pick Sesame Street and the Muppets over Teletubbies and Barny any day!
We had a fun weekend in Seattle (some work, some play) and the 'city' Gramma and Grampa got some good quality time with the little man. Paytons' Auntie came and babysit as well. She is very amazed at how much he eats (me too!). Although he is still sleeping 12 hours a night so I can't complain :)

I believe his Hernia is correcting itself but we go to the doctor on Aug. 12 for his 4 month checkup so they'll take a more thorough look then. I hope we can avoid surgery and it's looking that way. Woo hoo!

The biggest change is that Payton is starting to really focus and grasp things with his hands. We went on a walk yesterday and he started getting a bit fussy so I gave him Winston's plastic poop bag (no, there wasn't poop in it!!) and that kept him busy the whole way home! of course he tried to eat it but he really just loved the sound it made when he touched it. He also perks up whenever we play music and Ryan has taken to making his own techno beats and Payton dances along (I'm not kidding, he moves side to side when Ry plays the piano). it's great to watch.

We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend!
