1.towhead - a person with light blond hair
Ask my mom and my sister who were in the birthing room with me; that child is MINE! But where did he get that hair? I have never heard of the term 'towhead' before, but everyone calls Payton that. It seems like a racial slur of some sort but I looked it up and it's legit! So I have a towhead for a son and I love him!
This picture just make me laugh because he's probably upset that he can't have the camera :P
We had a FUN weekend with Ryan's family. We had a 50' sock hop at our house to celebrate Brenda's 60th bday (Happy Birthday Brenda!). It was a hoot! We learned some swing moves and even ate from a chocolate foundation. And the best part for me was the end of the night where we all sat and watched old Michael Jackson videos. I must admit I got a little sad. Man he was talented.
On Sunday we did family church which was awesome as always and then we went to Brenda's for leftovers and more fellowship. Payton and his Daddy played horsey (he loooooves horsey)
and he got to hang out with Uncle Brad (notice Muffin in the background. He looooves muffin too!)
There is a field next to her house with a million daisies so we put Payton in the middle of them all which didn't please him. But we did get one decent pic out of the bunch:
Payton continues to make new sounds every day and makes me laugh constantly. He loves to give open mouthed kisses (especially to Winnie!) and you can tell he comprehends what you're saying for the most part. He still loves to be outside more than anything but at least he's started to wear his sun hat to protect his little scalp. I'm looking forward to being able to converse with him and take him to the zoo and aquarium, but for now, hanging outside with him picking strawberries and mimicking the rooster isn't bad at all :)
